        • About the Fund

Mayor Tom Koch, the City of Quincy’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the Quincy Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to create and distribute the Hospitality Support Fund to help those workers in the restaurant, hospitality and food & beverage industries who have been impacted by the almost complete economic shutdown caused by COVID-19.

We are working closely with leaders in the local restaurant scene such as Greg McDonald (Common Market), Jimmy Liang (Fuji), Kerri Lynch-Delaney (16C), Leo Keka (Alba), Victor Carvalho (Dunkin’), Karen Djerf (Tony’s Clam Shop), Ryan Lavery (Widowmaker Brewing) and Vance Welch (Abby Park) to get financial assistance to employees trying to pay their rent and stay in their home during this severe health and economic crisis.

Mayor Koch, during an emergency phone meeting of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund’s Board said, “We want to create a mechanism to help local hospitality workers pay their rent while they are out of a job.” The Board then unanimously approved the mayor’s requested commitment to the fund*. Our mission at the Quincy Chamber is to provide direct rental assistance from this city fund as quickly possible to as many qualified workers so that they can remain housed during the next few months of this unprecedented economic shutdown.

Our commitment is to help as many people as we can!
